This circular was previously published as 01-003-2012. The Circular sets out the requirements for giving effect to the 2010 STCW amendments during the allowed transitional period as applied by the Antigua and Barbuda administration. Rev 2 includes the Antigua and Barbuda administration’s requirements in cases where seafarers join ships before 1st January 2014 but where security awareness training and training for seafarers with designated security duties in “approved” form by their national administrations is not yet available.
